[Sci-Tech Policy] MoEA Will Issue Innovation Voucher to Encourage R&D (

2010/01/24 In order to encourage the R&D cooperations between the indisutrial organizations and the academic organizations, Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, MoEA, will issue “Innovation Voucher” after Chinese New Year.
A thirty-million-NT-dollar budget will be preserved from the Executive Yuan's National Fund of Sci-Tech Development for innovation voucher policy. It is initially planned that the government will give a subsidy of 50% of the R&D budget and the enterprise needs to pay for the other half. When an enterprise decides to develop a new product or technique and look for a cooperation partner from the research corporations, acadmic organizations or incubation centers, the enterprise can apply for the innovation voucher once the cooperation is agreed by both parties. Small and Medium Enterprise Administration says, in the first quarter of 2010 the enterprises can begin to apply for innovation voucher.
