[Sci-tech Policy][Cloud Computing] Cloud Computing Included as Emerging Industry: Premier WU (Chinese Version)

Commercial Times (2009/12/12) & cnYes.com (2009/12/08) After Executive Yuan's announcement of the list of Taiwan's major six emerging industries including bio-tech, green energy, medical care, cultural creative, tourism and intensive agriculture in May, Premier Den-yih WU points out at the opening ceremony of Information Technology Month 2009 in Taichung on 11th-Dec. that Taiwan's significant emerging industries should also include the cloud computing center, patent and invention industry, green building and intelligent electric automobile etc., advancing the development of Taiwan's info-communication industries.

Den-yih WU says, cloud computing is a very important technology, which has already been the hot focus in several advanced countries, and Taiwan will not miss the participation. Besides, intelligent electric automobile industry combines traditional industries and info-tech industries these two major streams. Hence, beside of the determined six major emerging industries, the government will also support cloud computing center and the intelligent automobile industry.
