[Design] 900 Students to Stretch Creativity at Design Workshops (
Chinese Version)
CNA (2011/10/16) Some 900 young Taiwanese and overseas design students will stretch their creativity and cooperate at a series of workshops to create works that will be showcased at the 2011 Taipei World Design Expo, organizers said Sunday.
The design students from 21 countries, aged under 32, will form 30 design teams at 22 design departments and institutes in universities around Taiwan before creating their respective works October 17-21.
The teams will each focus on a given topic that explores the relationships between design and culture, technology and environment.
The expo, which opened September 30 and runs through October 30, features more than 6,000 items by some 1,200 designers from 34 countries, including France, Germany, Japan and the United States.
