[Infotech] Chunghwa Telecom's Hami Book Makes Spectacular Debut (Chinese Version)

Now News (2009/10/30) & udn.com (2009/10/28) Chunghwa Telecom's e-Book service began on 28th-October, making a spectacular debut. According to Chunghwa Telecom's statistics, over 6000 people via APP store and over 1600 people via Android Market had downloaded the reader Hamibook, and over 48000 copies of eBook had been downloaded, too, while the limited free-downloads had been completely exhausted.

With Chunghwa Telecom's Hami Book service, readers can conveniently carry with tons of books to anywhere in the world, and with one mobile device the reader can purchase, read and archive books. With the “cloud bookcase” (trans. temp.), one can manage the personal archive of the books and study notes. One can also conveniently use the mobile device to keep notes, make marks on the pages and share paragraphs with friends. So far 27 publishers have been affiliated with Chunghwa Telecom; users of iPhone and Android platform can already enjoy the service now, while users of Windows Mobile and Symbian may start to enjoy the service in the beginning of 2010.
