[產業動態] 資策會公佈今年研發方向：智慧生活


資策會執行長柯志昇於四月二十三日在出席「資策會2009年科技專案研發方向說明會」時表示，今年度資策會三大研究所的研發方向設定為智慧生活的「基礎設施」和「應用與服務」等二大方向，期望藉著應用科技使生活更智慧。鎖定的領域包含 WiMAX、資訊安全、車載資通訊系統、農業、商務及網路服務等。

柯志昇與三大研究所主管（網路多媒體研究所所長何寶中、創新應用服務研究所所長楊仁達及新興智慧技術研究所長張嘉祥）等，共同出席「 資策會2009年科技專案研發方向說明會」，並頒獎給10家優良合作夥伴。其中，網路多媒體研究所所長何寶中特別表示，今年的研發重點之一將是 WiMAX 相關技術的研發。他表示，順逢小筆電（NetBook）的銷售趨勢上漲，以及高質感影像分享風潮興起，各電信業者也視無線寬頻為未來市場趨勢所在，而 WiMAX 與現有的電信網絡延伸的 LTE（Long-Term Evolution）技術整合，也會共同並存，所以將發展重心鎖定於此，是正確的設定。

[Industrial] III Announces the Directions of Its R&D Projects in 2009: Intelligent Life


President of Institute for Information Industry Jyh-Sheng KE announced the directions of III's R&D projects in 2009 when attending III's “ Annual Explanation Session on III's Directions of R&D Projects” on 23rd-Apr., 2009, saying that III and its three major research institutes have set the directions of the year, which include “the infrastructure” and “applications and services” of an intelligent life, and cover up the fields such as WiMAX, information security, car information and communication system, agricultural services, business services and internet services.

Zyh-Sheng KE and the chairs of the three major institutes (Pao-Chung HO, Network and Multimedia Institute, Ren-ar YANG, Innovative DigiTech-Enabled Applications & Services Institute, and Ja-Shian CHANG, Emerging Smart Technology Institute) attended the 2009 Annual Explanation Session on III's Direction of R&D Projects, during which ten outstanding companies were awarded, too. Pao-Chung HO specified that the main point of research and development of III-Network and Multimedia Institute will be the development of the relevant techniques of WiMAX. He added, because of the trend of NetBook and the trend of HD video online sharing services, every carrier regards wireless wide band as the next hotspot of the market; since WiMAX is going to merge with LET (Long-Term Evolution) of the carriers, the former will share the market with latter as well. He believed, focusing on WiMAX is a correct determiation.
