[生醫科技] 台灣參與國際重要藥物基因體學研究　創造抗凝血劑藥物精確劑量公式


藥物基因體學是否可預測「華法林」（warfarin）的劑量? 最新的國際合作研究指出，答案是可以的。由中央研究院生物醫學科學研究所所長陳垣崇院士、李明達博士，以及長庚醫院心臟內科主任溫明賢醫師，所共同參與一項全球9個國家21組研究團隊組成之鉅型研究計畫，於2月19日全球同步發表重要研究成果。研究團隊以常見用來治療血液栓塞的藥物「華法林」（warfarin）為對象，以基因鑑定方式，發展出精確的藥劑用量預測公式。由於warfarin用量因個別病患而異，這個嶄新的公式將可大幅提升許多種疾病治療的品質，造福無數人群。

[Bio-Medicine] National Genotyping Center Collaborates in International Study on Genetics-guided Warfarin Dosing

Could genetics improve warfarin dosing? New international collaborative research says yes. A National Genotyping Center research team led by Director Yuan-Tsong Chen and Dr. Ming Ta Michael Lee of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, and Dr. Ming-Shien Wen of Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital recently collaborated in a major international study on the influence of genetics on optimum dosage of the widely-used anticoagulant warfarin. The National Genotyping Center is a core facility supported by the National Research Program for Genomic Medicine, National Science Council. The international collaboration's research results are presented in an article in the February 19 issue of the highly influential New England Journal of Medicine.
