[International Cooperation][Green Energy] First Taiwan-Norway Economic Cooperation Conference Held, Focusing on Green Energy Development (
Chinese Version)
CNA (2010/10/30) Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) and Oslo Chamber of Commerce (OCC) held the first economic cooperation conference between the two countries in Oslo on October 29 (Oslo time). During the conference, the representatives of the both sides discussed around the topics of renewable energy, environmental technology, and the opportunities of potential cooperation. After the meeting, a joint declaration was released.
The CIECA delegation, led by its Secretary-General David T. C. LIU, paid a visit to OCC Chairman Lars-Kare LEGERNES on June 19, 2009, and signed a MOU for the Taiwan-Norway economic cooperation conference. LAGERNES visited Taiwan by invitation in June, 2010, as well, to investigate the industrial development in Taiwan.
This time, the CIECA delegation of fifteen members stayed in Norway between October 28 and 30, during which, beside of the conference, they visited the verisity Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the national petroleum company of Norway Statoil, and Forskningsparken – the R&D center of the renewable energy, tele-communications and biotechnology in Oslo.
Besides, both parties reached an initial agreement to strengthen the industrial cooperation, and the contact platform was already established.
