[Creativity][Energy Saving] High School Students Invent Mini-hydraulic Generator (Chinese Version)

The Liberty Times (2010/05/21) The invention of two students from National Lan-Yang Girls' Senior High School Shao-shuan HUANG and Yu-ting HUANG was selected by National Science Council to participate in the 2010 International Exhibition for Young Inventors, IEYI, in Malaysia in the middle of May.

The invention of the mini-hydro generator was originally an idea written on paper. Due to its high creativity and fitting to the trend of environmental protection, the idea was selected and recommended by National Science Council to take part in this year's International Exhibition for Young Inventors in Malaysia. With the help of two teachers at National Lan-Yang Girls' Senior High School, Mr. Guan-hung LIN and Bing-hung TSAI, the invention was completed.

The basic idea of the invention is to utilize the mini-hydraulic power produced from the daily life facilities such as the water towers, toilets, pipes etc., to generate electricity and obtain hydrogen via electrolysis. The hydrogen can then be stored and used in the hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells. With the equipment, the energy efficiency in our daily life environment will be greatly enhanced.
