[Cross-Strait Cooperation] President of Tsinghua University from China Visits President of National Cheng Kung University (Chinese Version)

NCKU Realtime News (2010/03/15) President of Tsinghua University in China Binglin GU visits President of National Cheng Kung University Michael Ming-Chiao LAI on March 15. They both wish to strengthen the cooperation between two universities and to conduct more diverse interflows.

Binglin GU says, Tsinghua University has cooperative relations with many universities in North Taiwan, while National Cheng Kung University is the best-cooperated partner in South Taiwan. He believes, after the credits of universities in China become recognized by Taiwan, the cooperation with National Cheng Kung University must become a critical help. He hopes the exchanges between students from both universities can extend to that between graduate students. Ming-Chiao LAI agrees with Binglin GU; he hopes that beside of the students' interflows, both universities can find some cooperation topics on which two sides can develop together, creating more aspects of cooperation.

Ming-Chiao LAI also says, South Taiwan is the cultural-historical center, and the students here are more solid, expressing the unspoiled conventional atmosphere in this area; students of Tsinghua University are welcome to learn the spirit here. After Binglin GU leaves, four representatives of Tsinghua University stay in National Cheng Kung University, pinning down the details of cooperation.
