[生物科技] 先導工廠成立 生技製藥技術升

台灣動物科技研究所研究血癌藥劑又邁進一步，從豬乳培養出第9凝血因子基因之後，現在動科所又成立了醫藥蛋白純化先導工廠，有能力自行將蛋白純化，未來將有效降低製藥成本，也可以提升藥劑品質。

動物科技研究所表示，全球重組基因蛋白質市場實際銷售金額超過320億美元，目前有120種醫藥蛋白正在研發，光是治療血癌凝血因子市場就達到50億美元，有了先導工廠，未來國內在生物醫藥製劑的研發將具有絕對的競爭力。

Animal Technology Institute Taiwan, ATIT, has furthered the development of leukemia medicament, when the pilot plant for medical protein purification is set up, since its former achievement of refining human clotting factor IX gene from sow milk. Now the institute by itself can purify protein and will be able to cut down the cost of production and elevate the quality of product.

ATIT points out, the present total business volume of the global recombinant protein market reaches thirty-two billion US dollars. Now there are 120 kinds of medical protein are under development. The clotting factor IX alone holds 5 billion US dollars market share. With the pilot plant inaugurated, Taiwan's biomedical pharmaceutical industries will obtain optimistic competence.
