[生物科技] 水稻基因突變研究 中研院余淑美與邢禹依獲花喇子模獎
長期致力於以T-DNA插入水稻基因的方法建立台灣水稻基因突變種原資料的中研院研究員余淑美與邢禹依，因為在水稻基因突變研究方面具有傑出成果，榮獲伊朗科學暨科技研究組織(IROST)的第22屆「花喇子模國際科學獎」(KIA)。這是連續2年有台灣學者獲得這個獎項。

[Biotech] Akademia Sinica Rice Mutation Researchers Receive 2009 Khwarizmi International Award
Two researchers from the Institute of Molecular Biology (IM
and the Institute of Plant and Microbial Biology (IPM, Academia Sinica, have been awarded the 22nd Khwarizmi International Award (KIA). The KIA is awarded annually by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST) which is affiliated to Iran's Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Taiwan national has just won a KIA for the first time last year. Distinguished Research Fellow Su-May Yu of IMB and Research Fellow Yue-ie Hsing of IPMB have paid years of labor on the establishment of Taiwan Rice Insertional Mutagenesis (TRIM) library, which is just completed last year, and have been honored for their work in rice functional genomics.
