[生態保育] 台南縣沿海沙洲復育工程動土

為免沙洲流失影響漁民生計，台南縣政府積極規劃搶救濱海沙洲復育，今年（2009）1月22日在青鯤鯓鎮海將軍廟舉行濱海沙洲緊急復育工程動土典禮，地方官員士紳共襄盛舉。

鯤鯓至七鯤鯓、青鯤鯓、南鯤鯓及北鯤鯓等沙洲，受到近年來沿岸高度開發的影響，深度變淺、面積縮小。近年來，沙洲原有的功能遭受破壞，使得將軍溪附近、青鯤鯓在颱風肆虐時易成水患，又因內海越來越淺，青鯤鯓的漁船無法進入內海，為搶救北門濱海、七股鹽田潟湖外圍的離岸沙洲，保護漁民生計，縣府積極規劃搶救濱海沙洲復育，並成立全國唯一的海岸保護科
。

[ECOLOGY] Tainan Sandbanks Recovery Program Inaugurates

In order to prevent the sandbanks from vanishing and the fisherfolk's livelihood from damaged, Tainan County Government executes the sandbanks recovery program vigorously. The inauguration ceremony of the Emergent Coast Sandbanks Recovery Program was held on 22nd-Jan., 2009, at the Temple of General of Inspecting the Sea in Ging Kun-shen (or, Qing Kun-shen). Many regional officials and gentries participated the ceremony.

From Kun-shen Sandbank to Qi Kun-shen Sandbank, Ging Kun-shen Sandbank, Nan Kun-shen Sandbank and Bei Kun-shen Sandbank, due to the rapid development, these coast sandbanks shrink and the lagoons get shallower, so that their natural anti-flood capacity is damaged, which results in the frequent occurrence of flood during typhoon season near the General river and Ging Kun-shen. Besides, because the lagoons get shallower, fishing boats can not get in the inner ports. In order to conserve the coast sandbanks in Beimen and Cigu Salt Fields, and to protect fisherfolk's livelihood, the county government paid much effort on the recovery of sandbanks recently. Tainan County is the only local government which has set a Coast Protection Section now in Taiwan.
