According to the Government Information Office, the governmental advertisement has been carried in several major international media, including <i>The Wall Street Journal</i>, <i>International Herald Tribune</i>, <i>The Economists</i> , <i>Reforma</i> the learned newspaper in Mexico, etc. Besides, the poster has also been posted in major international airports in Europe and America. These advertising measures aim at showing the world Taiwan's resolution and will to take the responsibility for energy conservation and carbon reduction and to take her deserved part in international organizations and events.

The Government Information Office says, the government continues to strive for international engagements, among which the participation in UNFCCC is one of the present goals. The advertisement for UNFCCC participation this year centers around the topic of energy conservation and carbon reduction, demonstrating the high-tech products made of recycled plastic bottles in Taiwan.

The title of the advertising poster is Taiwan cuts carbon emissions by turning trash into green gold, describing that Taiwan makes the recycled plastic bottles into kinds of products with the developed technology.
