Udn.com ( 2010/08/09), RTI & National Educational Radio (2010/08/08)嚗The opening ceremony of the cooperative program of Ministry of Education, National Science Council and National Science & Technology Museum, Science Season 2010: Climate Change Exhibition (trans. temp.), was held on August 8. NSC Deputy Minister Wen-Chang CHANG pointed out, the annual science season has stepped into its eleventh year. The globally noticed issue climate change was selected to be this year's topic, and a five-year permanent exhibition hall on environmental protection, which was the initiative undertaking in Taiwan, was established. It was expected that with the five-year-term exhibition, more public engagement in the environmental issues could be made possible.

It has the first nationwide mobile theater, whose operation depends on an energy-saving mechanism, a 360 degree dome screen, and the other special interactive designs which combines virtual reality technology and the sound & light effects. These ten sets of interactive exhibits present fifty two exhibition units, and the presentations are designed with the spirit to localize the climate change issues with the global perspective. The exhibition hall is intended to invite the visitors into an amusement park of environmental education.

To maintain the quality of the exhibition, a flow control (an hour per tour, eight tours per day, 250 persons per tour) will be executed before September 20. Group tours are advised to make reservations. Reservation Hotline: 0800-800236.
