[Intensive Agriculture] Taiwan Orchid Plantation Begins to Operate, Introducing the Greenhouse Construction Plan (<a href=http://mepopedia.com/forum/read.php?127,5394>Chinese Version</a>)

<i>Now News</i>, <i>CNA News</i> (2010/03/15) & <i>RTI</i> (2010/03/05) The 2010 Taiwan International Orchid Show just rounded off in Tainan in the beginning of March. Tainan County Government and the contracted company introduced the “Construct First, Lease Later” plan, namely, the greenhouse construction and recruitment plan, to the public on March 15.

The “Construct First, Lease Later” Plan intends to build a thirty-six-thousand-ping greenhouse, with the capital subscription of Taiwan Orchid Professionals Co. Ltd. After the construction, the greenhouse and the equipment are going to let out to the enterprises that are willing to station in the orchid plantation park. The distinguishing feature of the project is that after a certain rental period the lessees will obtain the ownership of the rental part of the greenhouse and the equipment; besides, Taiwan Orchid Professionals will offer customized hardware equipment service during the construction period, too.

Tainan County Magistrate Huan-jhih SU was happy with the project proposed by Taiwan Orchid Professionals. He said, the present farmer's loan is conservative, so the farmers often have difficult carrying out large-scale production and expansion owing to capital shortage. The “Construct First, Lease Later” project analogously offers the opportunity of finance lease to the farmers. This is regarded as a great help to the farmers as well as the agriculture development.
