<i>BCC</i> (2009/10/16) Yuei-an LIOU, Director of Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research, National Central University, and J.-J. MIAU, Director General, National Space Organization (National Space Program Office, NSPO) are selected the academicians at International Academy of Astronautics.

Two Taiwan space scientists J.-J. MIAU and Yuei-an LIOU attended the 60th International Astronautical Congress, Daejeon, South Korea, and were made academicians at its Section of Basic Sciences. Two other outstanding space scientists were selected the academicians at IAA as well: Professor Wing-Huen IP (2000), Graduate Institute of Space Science, NCU, and Lou-Chuang LEE (2007), present NSC Minister.

International Academy of Astronautics was established on 16th-August, 1960. It has 1200 academicians from 75 countries.
